Your agreement with SKI

These terms govern cabinet installation services purchased from Swedish Kitchen Installers LLC (SKI) when the cabinet installation service is included in the SKI quote. Your personalized agreement identifies the customer, project address, quote reference, price, and payment schedule. Keep that agreement, the accepted quote, your invoice, these terms, and any approved changes together as your project agreement.

1 Parties and contract documents

This agreement is between Swedish Kitchen Installers LLC (SKI), 920 N. Tyler Rd Ste 304, Wichita, KS 67212, and the customer identified in the personalized agreement and accepted SKI quote. The customer confirms that they own the property or have authority to approve the work and bind the identified customer. SKI is an independent service provider. IKEA is a product manufacturer and retailer and is not a party to this agreement. References to IKEA describe products or systems only.

The accepted quote is Exhibit A and defines the purchased scope. These terms, the accepted quote, any required project notices, and mutually approved written change orders form the agreement. Project-specific terms expressly agreed in writing control over inconsistent general terms, subject to applicable law. An invoice records the agreed charges and payments; it does not silently add services or change an accepted price.

2 Scope price and changes

The contract price is the total stated on the accepted quote, including stated taxes and approved changes. Services are labor only unless the quote expressly includes materials. Drawings, renderings, conversations, or product orders do not add services that are absent from the quote.

Any addition, deletion, return visit, or change in scope must be described and approved in writing by the customer and SKI before the changed work proceeds. The change must state the price or agreed pricing method and any schedule effect. Additional hourly rates, return-visit charges, and other fees require prior written agreement.

3 Deposit and final payment

Unless a different schedule is expressly agreed in the accepted quote, a 50% deposit is required before work begins and the remaining balance is due on the date of completion. Approved changes adjust the contract total and remaining balance. Payments already received are credited against the amount owed; the deposit is part of the contract price.

Pay only the amount displayed on the SKI invoice and its secure checkout. Payment processing is handled by the identified payment provider. No future payment, recurring charge, or additional charge is authorized by this agreement. A deposit is not automatically nonrefundable; cancellation and refund rights are addressed below.

Scheduling and project readiness

4 Scheduling and completion

SKI confirms the installation schedule after required deposit payment and a review of project readiness. Dates are estimates unless a specific date is expressly guaranteed in writing. Missing or damaged products, site conditions, customer changes, third-party delays, and events outside reasonable control may require revised dates. SKI will communicate material delays and proposed next steps.

Completion means the quoted services and approved changes have been performed, subject to any specifically documented remaining items. At the final walkthrough, SKI and the customer will record outstanding items and a plan to resolve them. Absence from a walkthrough does not by itself waive a customer's claim or authorize an automatic charge. Missing products or deferred work must be documented with any resulting price, payment, and return-visit arrangements agreed in writing.

5 Customer preparation and access

Before the scheduled start, the customer must arrange safe access, reasonable parking and loading access, an agreed cutting and assembly area, electrical power, and a location for installation debris. Disclose stairs, elevators, restricted work hours, building rules, parking limitations, and access restrictions before scheduling.

Unless included in the quote, the customer arranges product purchase, delivery, inventory verification, demolition, removal of existing cabinets, and site preparation. Required products must be onsite, accessible, undamaged, and checked against the approved plan. The customer is responsible for measurements and design decisions unless SKI's quote includes those services. SKI will identify apparent conflicts before proceeding and seek written direction for changes.

Clear the work area of personal property and keep children, pets, and visitors away from active work. Provide a decision maker aged 18 or older who is available at the start and completion and reachable during the work. Notify SKI of concealed utilities, unusual wall construction, known hazards, and relevant property conditions.

6 Included and excluded services

Cabinet assembly, installation, trim, handles, panels, appliance dry fitting, lighting attachment, and other tasks are included only to the extent listed in the quote. Dry fitting does not include gas, water, drain, or electrical connections. Attaching a light fixture does not include electrical wiring unless expressly included and performed by a legally qualified provider.

Unless listed, the price excludes plumbing, electrical, gas, HVAC, structural modifications, wall repair, painting, countertops, hazardous-material work, delivery, demolition, and debris haul-away. If SKI's quote includes preparation work or coordination with other trades, that written scope determines SKI's responsibilities. Permit, inspection, and licensed-trade responsibilities must be identified before affected work begins.

Workmanship safety and responsibility

7 Site conditions and safe work

Installation may require fastening into walls and other surfaces. SKI will use reasonable care. If concealed utilities, inadequate backing, unlevel surfaces, moisture, damage, or other unexpected conditions affect safe installation, SKI may pause the affected work, notify the customer, and propose a written solution and any change in price or timing. These terms do not excuse negligence or liability that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude.

Hazardous-material investigation, testing, removal, and abatement are excluded unless specifically contracted with an appropriately qualified provider. Work may stop when conditions reasonably threaten health or safety. The customer must disclose the approximate construction year and known lead, asbestos, mold, or other hazards. For work that triggers lead-safe renovation requirements, required education, certifications, practices, and records must be addressed before affected work starts. Deposit payment is not a certification of lead safety or acknowledgment of receipt of a separate lead pamphlet.

8 Workmanship and product warranties

SKI warrants that its cabinet installation workmanship will be free from defects caused by SKI's performance of the contracted installation services for five years from completion of those services. During that period, SKI will correct covered workmanship defects without additional labor charges. Report suspected defects within the warranty period to info@ski-kitchens.com with the project reference, description, and available photos, and allow reasonable access to inspect and correct the concern.

This workmanship warranty covers the cabinet installation services in the accepted SKI quote and approved written changes. Product and material warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer or seller under its own terms. SKI does not issue an IKEA product warranty. Product defects, normal wear, misuse, water damage, building movement, and alterations by others are excluded unless caused by SKI's defective workmanship. This warranty is in addition to any warranty, remedy, or consumer right that applicable law requires.

9 Subcontractors and separate work

SKI may use qualified subcontractors to perform services included in SKI's accepted scope and remains responsible for its contractual obligations for that work. Services the customer separately contracts for directly with another provider are governed by that separate agreement. Additional work requires clear written identification of the contracting party, scope, price, and responsibility.

10 Damage concerns and interruptions

Notify SKI promptly of property damage or other concerns and allow reasonable inspection and efforts to prevent further damage. Each party remains responsible as provided by applicable law. This agreement does not release claims for personal injury, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

A party affected by an event beyond reasonable control must notify the other and take reasonable steps to reduce delay. Revised timing and any material scope or price effect must be communicated; an interruption does not automatically authorize extra charges.

Cancellation notices and acceptance

11 Cancellation and refunds

The customer may request cancellation in writing at info@ski-kitchens.com, identifying the customer and quote or invoice reference. SKI will confirm receipt and provide a written accounting of payments, work performed, and any authorized commitments. Outside any mandatory cancellation period, the customer is responsible only for amounts lawfully due for work performed and specifically authorized, documented, nonrecoverable costs, with any unused deposit refunded. No blanket forfeiture of the deposit is created by these terms.

Where a federal, state, or local cancellation right applies, its notice, deadline, refund requirements, and permitted cancellation methods control. SKI will provide transaction-specific notices and cancellation forms when required. Paying a deposit does not waive those rights or substitute for required notices. Contact SKI before paying if required cancellation information has not been supplied.

12 Notices and dispute resolution

Send routine project communications, change requests, and notices to info@ski-kitchens.com or Swedish Kitchen Installers LLC, 920 N. Tyler Rd Ste 304, Wichita, KS 67212. SKI will use the contact information on the quote or invoice to communicate with the customer. A legally required delivery method or address controls over this general email provision.

The parties will first attempt to resolve concerns through direct written communication. The law of the state where the project is located governs, subject to applicable federal law. Any unresolved dispute may be brought before a court with jurisdiction, including small claims court where available. Arbitration requires a separate written agreement; these terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive jury-trial rights. Attorney fees and collection remedies are available only as provided by applicable law or a separate valid agreement.

13 Electronic acceptance and retained copies

Review the accepted quote, these terms, and any required notices before paying. By clicking to pay and completing the deposit payment, you acknowledge that you have received, read, and agree to the SKI Installation Agreement and Terms and Conditions supplied with your quote and invoice, together with the accepted quote and any approved written changes. Opening a link alone does not constitute acceptance. Your agreement does not waive any cancellation right or other right that applicable law protects.

The customer must affirmatively confirm review before starting deposit checkout. SKI records the terms version, acknowledgment time, payment reference, and payment status. An acknowledgment without a completed deposit is not recorded as deposit-payment acceptance. A completion-balance payment does not reset the original agreement date.

You may download, save, or print these PDF terms. Contact SKI for a paper copy or an alternative signing method before paying if you cannot access or retain them. Any legally required consent for electronic delivery of mandatory disclosures must be obtained separately where required.

14 Entire agreement and amendments

The agreement replaces earlier discussions about the same services. Changes require mutual written approval; a later website update does not change terms already supplied and accepted for a project. SKI will retain the version associated with the quote and deposit checkout. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent allowed by law. A failure to enforce a term once does not waive future enforcement. No third-party beneficiary is created.
